Agile Space Hires a President to Scale Its Thruster Business

Agile Space Industries has named Jason Wright as President, effective early October, as the Colorado-based chemical propulsion supplier pushes toward a revenue figure roughly five times its 2022 baseline by year-end. [1]

Wright arrives with more than 25 years of sector experience, including a stint as a Lockheed Martin subject matter expert on monopropellant and bipropellant thrusters and dual-mode propulsion systems, and a track record managing programs with more than $100 million in profit-and-loss responsibility. [1]

His mandate at Agile is operational: day-to-day management across locations in Colorado, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, and Washington state, plus delivery of current product and service contracts. [1] CEO Chris Pearson retains long-term strategy, board and investor relations, strategic business development, and technical direction. [1]

Demand for Agile's monopropellant and bipropellant engines, propellant tanks, and integrated propulsion subsystems has been the primary engine of that growth, with propulsion testing services also expanding. [1] The company now employs more than 165 people. [1]

The hire signals something wider: as launch cadence accelerates and constellations multiply, the bottleneck increasingly sits not in getting to orbit but in what happens once you're there — maneuvering, station-keeping, disposal.

Wright has supported programs for NASA, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, U.S. Space Force, DARPA, the intelligence community, and commercial satellite operators — a client list that maps neatly onto where Agile says it is heading next. [1]
