ESA Rewires Its Identity Around Earth's Tilt

[1]

At the centre of the new visual identity sits the 23.4° tilt, a design motif inspired by the Earth's axis. The updated logo now carries an explicit descriptor for clarity, and the broader image system is built to trace a line from space to Earth, from technology to the people behind it. [1]

Space agencies have long struggled to translate technical ambition into something citizens feel. A coherent visual language, when it works, does the heavy lifting that press releases cannot.

To keep the system consistent, ESA has launched a renewed Brand Centre — a dedicated platform giving partners and stakeholders easy access to guidelines, tools and best practices. [2]

The real test of any identity shift is whether it survives contact with a hundred different partners telling a hundred different stories. ESA's Brand Centre is the infrastructure bet that it will. [2]

More than a rebranding exercise, this transformation represents a shift in how ESA communicates, from individual projects to collective purpose.ESA
